One of the most promising project that the Municipal Government of Cantilan concerned, is the installation of the Tilang Beach "Sea Wall" which is supported by Surigao del Sur 1st district Congressman Butch Pichay.

This project was formulated because of the alarming expansion of the sea which almost occupied the rest of the beach. And if the sea expansion will not be stopped maybe soon the sea reaches the rice fields of Barangay San Pedro that will destroy their crops.

This project started at October 3, 2000 and will be finish on June 2001, a 102 calendar day project.

This is one of the major project that the LGU has.
